Who is eligible to use the ECCU facilities?
Evangelical churches, ministries, schools, and their members are eligible to use the ECCU facilities. Other organizations may be approved on a case-by-case basis.

What services are included in the fee?
The fee includes your selected room(s), an event host, audio/visual technician (auditorium only), room setup, room tear down, hot coffee and pitchers of ice water, bowls of candy, welcome marquee, campus directional signs, decorating supplies as available, and 24-hour security.

If we rent a conference room for our business meeting, can we have lunch served in the patio area?
We can set up tables and chairs in our garden courtyard at no extra charge.

What is required to secure a room on my event date?
A signed agreement along with your deposit confirms your event reservation.

Why should we have our retreat/seminar at ECCU?
At ECCU, we are dedicated to serving our members to support their ministry goal of advancing God's Kingdom. We provide personal service and strive to serve you beyond your expectations. Having your event at ECCU ensures that those sharing the campus with you also share your value system.

How much time do I have before my meeting to set up?
Usually the room is available to you one hour before your meeting. If you need more time, arrangements can be made in advance.

How far in advance can I book a reservation for an event?
We take reservations one year in advance.

What is your cancellation policy?
Written notification to cancel or postpone an event must be received by the event coordinator at least 30 days prior to the event. If any costs were incurred prior to the cancellation, those will be deducted from the deposit and the balance returned. If the written notification is received less than 30 days before the event, the deposit will not be refunded.

Where is the cancellation policy found?
The cancellation policy is in the Facility Policies and Guidelines found in our information packet.

Facility Capacity

What is the maximum capacity of the facility for a banquet? For a seminar?
The auditorium will hold 264 for a banquet (in rounds of 8) and 400 for a seminar (theater-style).

Food and Beverage

Does use of a room at ECCU include meals?
Rental of a room includes hot coffee and pitchers of ice water. It does not include meals. See list of preferred caterers.

Can I use my own caterer?
We do have a list of preferred caterers that know the facility and provide delicious food with outstanding service. You are free to use a caterer not on our list as long as they agree/sign our clean-up procedure. Exception: Guests planning wedding receptions are required to use a caterer from our preferred caterers list.

Can my church have a potluck at ECCU?
Churches may have potlucks at the facility as long as the church agrees/sign our clean-up procedure.

I would like to take my team off-site for lunch. Can you recommend a local restaurant?
ECCU is located close to many nice restaurants in Brea. See our list of local restaurants.

Can we serve alcohol at our banquet?
ECCU is an alcohol-free campus.

Audio/Visual

What are the A/V capabilities in the auditorium?
Our auditorium has full state-of-the-art A/V capabilities. The rental fee of the auditorium includes an A/V technician to operate the equipment.

I would like to have a banquet in the garden courtyard. Does it have audio capabilities?
Yes, we have a high quality portable audio system that can play music from a CD or cassette. We also provide 2 wireless microphones.

Weddings

Does ECCU host weddings?
Yes! The biggest decision the bride and groom will have is whether to say their vows outdoors in front of the waterfall or indoors in our beautiful Auditorium!

Is dancing permitted?
Dancing is permitted at ECCU although a dance floor, if desired, must be obtained by a rental company at your own cost.

Miscellaneous

Does ECCU take Visa or Master Card?
ECCU accepts Visa or Master Card for payment of facility use.

With security "front of mind," what provisions does ECCU have in place?
ECCU has security systems in place 24/7. This includes a 24-hour security guard and security cameras throughout the campus.

I have meeting attendees that need hotel reservations. What are the local hotels that you recommend? Does ECCU have corporate rates that are available for us to use?
Corporate rates are available. Please consult a representative from our list of preferred hotels.

I would like a private room for my staff Christmas party. What do you recommend?
During the month of December, one of our rooms is transformed into our enchanting "Christmas Room." It is decorated exclusively for Christmas parties and will accommodate up to 40 people.
